It’s been a memorable summer. Looking at all the weddings I’ve photographed brings back some lovely memories. Here’s a peak at some of those moments. I’ve been lucky to be part of these incredible moments in these wonderful people’s lives. For more documentary wedding photography please check the galleries on this site. The cheatue in Provence provided the pefect setting for friends and family to get together. People come from all over the world and the atmosphere was so relaxed and joyous. Afternoon chillout in the water. When all you friends are talented musicians and actors there’s no shortage of entertainment. This is the first wedding I’ve photographed in Hanbury Manor. The place is gorgeous and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I hope you’ve enjoyed the photos. If you’d like to see more visit weddingsbyodi.co.uk
A lot of couples who contact me want wedding photos that are not your conventional set of posed typical photos. With C & P, we met for a chat in the studio to talk about their wedding plans and what they’d like me to do for the photos. When I photograph weddings I’m really photographing people, and so having that personal connection before the wedding itself is so important. I got to learn about all the obvious, when, where etc… but what was more important is that I got to know something about who they are.
I’ve photographed many weddings in Islington Town Hall a I think the registrars there have a lot of respect for what they do. It never feels like they’re just doing their job. They conducted the ceremony in such a simple and sensitive way that it made you…
Blackheath village, in south east London, is very popular for weddings. I photographed Ryan & Cher’s wedding in the Calrendon hotel right opposite the heath, an ideal spot for hazy sunset photos. The hotel had a lovely back garden were all the guests could relax and have a chat to the sound of steel drums. It’s really fun to photograph people having fun and enjoying themselves and this was certainly the case in this wedding. Short and intimate weddings are often the most moving. With a close circle of family and friends there are less formalities and As a wedding photographer it’s fun to work on both large and small weddings with their different dynamics. I can often take shorter booking when they’re less than a month away or are off peak wedding season. I enjoyed photographing in Hackney Town Hall. Despite the horrible weather, the large windows allowed for some beautiful and natural wedding portraits. After the ceremony we took some portraits inside and ventured bravely on to the streets for some atmospheric portraits in the rain. I hope you enjoy these photos The large windows in Hackney Town Hall are a photographer’s dream It rained heavily that day but I think it actually adds something to the photos and the atmosphere. I used a white brolly from my studio to allow some light…
We had a great time shooting these couple portraits in London. Starting from the London Eye and continuing to lesser known gems.Scheduling an early morning start meant having the best light and relatively empty streets. The effort paid off as London looked like a location in Italy or Spain in some of these shots. Few cities have as many parks as London and these make great locations for photography. If you’re interested in couple or individual portraits in the London area, get in touch to discuss ideas, locations and costs.
I’m always amazed at how much can be done in a few hours of photography. During off-peak seasons we take on shorter bookings. We also cover many last-minute shorter weddings. Bellow, I’ve gathered a collection of 2-3 wedding photography images. Photographing short weddings captures all the highlights before, during and after the ceremony, which are actually the most important part of a wedding day.
Short intimate wedding, Mayor’s Parlour, Islington town hall.
Sylvia & Dean’s wedding might have been small in numbers, but huge in spirit. Islington Town Hall is one of my favourite wedding venues. It’s relaxed and very pretty with lots of photo opportunities inside and outside it. Islington is one of the best areas in London for good pubs and restaurants. We simply had to cross the road and viola! I bid the couple farewell before they sat down for some food. We spent just over 2 hours together during…
Some shots from a really lovely and intimate wedding in Hammersmith, London. I knew I need to mainly document this wedding and it was really inspiring to experience it through the lens. I prefer to use natural daylight when possible to get the right look for the photos Sometimes, the smallest, most unplanned moments are the ones that are best to photograph. These photos were taken in Hammersmith and Fulham Registry office and “the Gate” restaurant. For more wedding photography visit weddingsbyodi.co.uk
I often get requests to photograph short, last minute weddings. These tend to be small intimate weddings where only a select group of family and friends are present. Booking out a Saturday or Sunday for two hours in advance can be tricky but last minute bookings are always welcome. Over the last few years I have photographed several short (around two hours) wedding ceremonies in Islington Town Hall, Mayfair Library, Chelsea Town Hall and other London venues. I do offer clients an hourly rate so they can decide what best suits their plan and budget. ps. my the new wedding photography website is weddingsbyodi.co.uk check it out!
